Gereral Health Sciences Scholarships

The University of Milwaukee College of Health Sciences awards a number of general Health Sciences department scholarships:

Boise State University College of Health Sciences offers the President Charles and Sally Ruch Inaugural Health Science Scholarship. Applicant must be at least a sophomore to apply and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, but the higher the better.

Tapestry Parkview Health Sciences Scholarship is awarded through the Indiana University-Purdue University School of Health Sciences. The award is in the amount of $2500 and is open to students enrolling in a degree program in the HS department. Academic excellence is the number one criterion.

The State of West Virginia has recently put into place a new Health Sciences Scholarship intended to keep some of the state's medical students practicing within the state. Up to $20,000 in tuition can be applied to a qualified applicant's medical or health services program. In exchange, recipients agree to serve in a state designated medically underserved area for a certain amount of time.

Medical Sciences Scholarships

Charles Culpeper Scholarships in Medical Sciences is funded through the Goldwater Philanthropic Partnerships. Awards of over $100,000 in scholarship money are awarded to medical students at schools located throughout the U.S. Candidates are hand-picked for academic merit and research potential.

Tennessee Tech students studying in the College of Health Sciences in a chemistry program may apply for the Chemistry Medical Science Scholarship. This is a merit-based award and students must be members of the Chemistry Club to be considered.

Indiana University automatically considers all health sciences students for their Bloomington Medical Sciences Scholarships. There are no applications and students may be eligible to receive up to $2500 if chosen. There are awards based on merit as well as financial need.
