American Statistical Association
The Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship provides $1,000.00 in funding to female students who are either studying or planning on studying statistics at the graduate level. The Scholarship is open to applicants who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Canada.
Candidates will submit an application form, three references (from professors), and a personal essay to be considered for this Scholarship.
California State University (East Bay), Statistics Department
The Heebok Park Scholarship program awards one scholarship per year to a graduate student who is majoring in statistics. The scholarship provides a minimum of $500.00 in funds.
The George J. Resnikoff Memorial Scholarship is also available to graduate students in this field of study. Like the Heebok Park Scholarship, a minimum of $500.00 in funding is provided to the recipient.
Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply for the Statistics Department Scholarship and the Justin Randle Memorial Scholarship. Each of these scholarships are worth at least $500.00.
Iowa State University, Department of Statistics
The Department offers several graduate scholarships to students majoring in statistics. All of the scholarships are awarded based on merit; level of financial need is not a factor when choosing recipients for funding. The amount awarded varies from $500.00-$15,000.00 for one year.
University of South Alabama, Department of Mathematics and Statistics
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers up to eight-$1,500.00 scholarships each year. The scholarship monies are to be used toward tuition and fees. Full-time students studying mathematics and statistics who have attained a GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible to apply.
Preference is given to students who are entering their junior or senior year, but all undergraduate students are invited to apply. Two letters of recommendation and a personal statement are to be submitted to the Scholarship Committee for consideration.
University of South Carolina, Department of Statistics
A Department scholarship in the amount of $500.00 is available to a statistics major who has distinguished him or herself academically. Candidates for this source of funding are nominated by faculty members.
Western Michigan University
Several scholarships are offered to students majoring in mathematics or statistics at Western Michigan University. Recipients are selected by Department members. Funding for individual scholarships varies.
Purdue University, David S. Moore Undergraduate Scholarship
Those individuals who have been accepted at Purdue University and who plan on majoring in statistics are invited to apply for the David S. Moore Undergraduate Scholarship. $1,000.00 will be paid to the freshman winner of the award.
University of Northern Iowa, Department of Mathematics
A $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded each spring to a student majoring statistics and actuarial science who either is participating in or has completed an internship. The monies from the John F. and Ruth Cross Scholarship will be credited to the recipient's U-bill for the fall semester.
