Scholarship Opportunities
American Cancer SocietyThe American Cancer Society Scholarships in Cancer Nursing provide funding of $10,000 each year for a period of up to two years to a student enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing program. Graduate students enrolled in a Doctoral program in cancer research, education, clinical practice, or administration are eligible to apply for scholarship assistance. Those selected will receive an annual $15,000 stipend of $15,000 for up to four years of study. Read more.
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)Registered and non-Registered Nurses enrolled in or accepted into a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program are eligible to apply for a $2,000 Bachelor’s Scholarship. Candidates for this award must have an interest in and be committed to oncology nursing. Each scholarship recipient will prepare a summary of the educational activities he or she participated in during the year of financial support.
Washington State Nurses Foundation (WSNF)The WSNF annually awards a minimum of four-$1,000 scholarships. Graduate students who wish to specialize in the area of Oncology Nursing are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidates must be Registered Nurses and current WSNF members. To be considered, an official transcript and two Applicant Recommendation forms must be submitted.
Nevada Cancer InstituteFour scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each are awarded through the Siemens Oncology Scholarship Program. Registered nurses pursuing graduate studies in oncology are eligible to apply for funding. These awards require applicants demonstrate strong academic records and motivation.
Barry University, School of Nursing, FloridaThe Association of Pediatric Oncology Nurses (APON) awards a scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Applicants must be Registered Nurses enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing program and passionately committed to Pediatric Oncology Nursing. In addition, candidates must be members of APON.
University of Southern Indiana, School of NursingA student Nursing major with an interest in either Oncology or Pain Management is eligible for the Charles F. Day & Nancy Day Farmer Memorial Scholarship. The Scholarship provides $500, which can be used to help defray the cost of tuition, fees, and/or textbooks. The scholarship is automatically renewed if the recipient maintains a GPA of at least 3.0.
California State University, Dominguez HillsThe Joyce Lee Harper Memorial Scholarship Award provides funding in the amount of $500 to a nursing student with experience in the field of Oncology Nursing, hospice, or end-of-life care. A GPA of at least 3.0 is required for consideration, which is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
