Local chapters of the AAFA provide scholarship funds for students in their geographic regions. For example the New England Chapter sponsors a scholarship competition each year. The purpose of the competition is to recognize exceptional teens who can be role models for other young people living with severe allergies or asthma.
Two scholarships in the amount of $500.00 are available. High school seniors who are residents of all six New England states are eligible to apply. An official transcript and an essay must be submitted by all those wishing to be considered for this funding.
