
James L. Allhands Essay Competition
Applicant must be a full-time student who has attained a four- or five-year senior-level standing in a four-year ABET or ACCE-accredited (or candidate status) university construction or construction-related engineering program. Essay responding to a specific question each year is required.
First prize (student) will be for $1,000 and a trip to the AGC Annual Convention (prize includes roundtrip airfare, plus meals and lodging for five days); First prize (faculty) will be for $500 and a trip to the AGC Annual Convention (prize includes roundtrip airfare, plus meals and lodging for five days); Second and third prizes (students) will receive $500 and $300, respectively.
