Individual Advanced Research Opportunities

Award is for research at institutions abroad. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and have command of the host country language sufficient for advanced research. Applicant should be a full-time faculty member at a college or university and either have a Ph.D. or be a doctoral candidate who will have completed all requirements except the dissertation by time of participation. Independent scholars or recipients of professional degrees may also be eligible.

Round-trip airfare and visa fees, dollar stipend, stipend for host-country housing, local research allowance, excess baggage allowance.

Study areas: Applications are accepted in all disciplines, with emphasis on humanities and social sciences.
